Glass Pattern Quarterly

Maureen James
Dear Readers,

It's been a joy putting this issue together if for no other reason than its reminder that springtime is finally here.

Thank you to all who have sent in your Gallery submissions. By allowing us to feature your work, you share new ideas in glass with our readers and, at the same time, share the fun that is "working in glass." I was so impressed with the submissions and tutorials that came over to us. Maybe you also have projects or images of original work and would like to see your own art published. If so, we would love for you to submit them to our Gallery. If you have a technique that you'd like to share or just a project that your students or friends have enjoyed, submit a tutorial. Our editorial staff will help you with the mechanics of putting the text together, and our graphic artists will design an eye-catching layout for our magazine and/or website. We like to say, "We'll make you shine." Before long, people will start complimenting you on your art, and opportunities will find you.

If you haven't yet done so and would like to submit either a tutorial or a Gallery submission, please fill out the Submission Guideline form under the "Submit Content" link at www.glasspatterns.com, or e-mail us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. We love being able to bring emerging artists into the limelight. Remember, everyone starts somewhere. I think you'll be glad you took advantage of this opportunity to share your artwork with our readers.

We welcome you to visit our new website at www.glasspatterns.com and explore an abundance of new features including downloadable tutorials, videos, and a new calendar that list the latest events and classes. Search by category to find your glass interests in your area. You can become a Registered user to unlock even more free content that will be useful in your glasscrafting. Visit us often to see what is new at Glass Patterns Quarterly!
