Thank you for all your requests for specific content and patterns, and especially for your kind comments when you feel we got it just right or you especially enjoyed a particular issue. We are grateful for your willingness to take the time to contact us.

We enjoy featuring the beautiful and unique work from our readers and welcome more of you to send in your images in the months ahead. To those who have not submitted to our gallery before, what is holding you back? If you would like a chance to share your work through GPQ, you can visit our website at www.glasspatterns.com, access "Submit Content" in the drop-down menu under "Magazine," and click on the "Upload Your Submission Online" link. Then enter your name and address in the dialogue box and use the "Browse" button to upload one high-res photo (at least 300 dpi) of your work. Please send one photo at a time. For those of you interested in submitting tutorials, you will find PDFs containing submission guidelines at the bottom of the "Submit Content" page. The submission form serves as a checklist to ensure that we receive everything that we need when considering your submission for publication. This is a great way to get published and share your art with other glass enthusiasts.

Beautiful Glass Painting-Tracing

An 8-1/2" x11" free-form painted ascending phoenix design. Techniques are introduced for success in tracing designs onto glass with paint that require only one firing. A kiln schedule is included, as well as ten top tips for successful, elegant tracing.

Apple of My Eye

An 8" square mosaic that is suitable for use as a trivet, a clock face, or for being displayed on the wall or a stand. The project is made from one of Spectrum's One-Day Project packs that includes Peel & Stick patterns. Tips for proper placement of the design pieces and general tips for working with mosaics are also included.

Dream Catcher

A 15-1/2" x 26" free-form geometric beginner lead panel. Cathedrals, textures, and opalescents all work well with this project, and the glass could easily be selected to complement any color scheme. This project was constructed using lead H-channel.

The 2012 Lifetime Achievement award goes to Maureen James, Maureen has been involved in the glass industry as a publisher since 1985 when she became cofounder and managing editor of Glass Patterns Quarterly. This quality, tutorial-based periodical has an international readership in over eighty countries. She has also served on the board of the Art Glass Association and is currently involved as a board member of the KBW Educational Foundation. Maureen is an active and voting member AGA, ISGB, GAS, and SGAA. She has been influential in bringing glass education to the masses and is thrilled to be working with the various organizations serving in this capacity.You are invited to join Maureen and her friends at the 2012 AGA Honors Banquet to celebrate her Lifetime Achievement Award.
